I love food. I'm vegetarian so I eat vegan food more often than not.
Pukk, the veg Thai place on 1st Ave and 6th, they have a killer lunch special on weekdays from 11:30am-3:30pm: SIX DOLLARS, for a fucking appetizer, entree and a cup of soup. Can't beat that!
Since it's summer, I eat vegan ice cream at Stogo and Lula's a few days a week. Stogo is pricy and I'm finding a lot of it is hit or miss. The good flavors they have are REALLY good, and the rest is just eh.

I'll have to try these places. Pukk sounds good. Food Swings on Grand St in Williamsburg is always a tasty delight.

Foodswings is good but they've gone downhill over the years if you ask me. My favorite place for in Williamsburg is Vinnie's Pizza on Bedford and N. 9th. Their vegan pizza slices/options are amazing. Vegan eggplant parm slice.... holy shit, so good!

If you want vegan pizza then Viva Herbal is where it is at. Completely vegetarian pizza parlor. Will post more places later.

viva herbal is great. vinnies is good. foodswings still on top.
atlas is great for vegan treats and a good sandwich.
i mostly eat at dumpling man or punjabi deli(on houston, $1 a samosa!) or at ashkara falafel(houston).

I think Foodswings is much overrated and is over priced. Over all not worth really checking out unless you are in the area. If you want junk vegan food then Curly's is where it is at, or red bamboo. Seriously for about the same price you can get a real meal. Looking for vegan food that is actually good for you then you can't beat Angelica Kitchen.

YES. Curly's is so underrated in this city. Their vegan gravy/curly fries are where it's fucking AT.
That said about Foodswings, definitely has gone downhill but I will still eat there on occasion. I'm a pathetic sucker, I guess, even though I'm finding myself disappointed more and more in their food these days. Interestingly enough, some of their food that was just blah before has gotten better now, and vice versa. Not sure if anyone else has noticed that or maybe it's just my taste buds.
Angelica Kitchen is a place I need to go more often
I still highly recommend Pukk and their lunch special for a real/filling/can be good for you vegan meal.

Angelica's is on 12th street between 2nd and 1st but basically right on 2nd. So many good vegan spots around that whole area. Vegan bakery on St. Marks and I think A.

Red Bamboo on W4th and Sixth Ave
Vegan cooking that is mindblowingly good, and very generous portions

VEGAN TREATS DONUTS on Tuesdays at Atlas cafe.
Also at Vinnie's.
Today was glorious. I need to make more of an effort to go to these places and indulge on Tuesdays.
