I have been to this venue 2 times, once to see Mind Eraser/Walls/Mentally Challenged, and this past june for Iron Age/Mind Eraser/Sex Vid. This venue is way too small to have such shows. Too big of a turnout for such bands, very low lighting inside plus no elevated stage makes is very difficult to film bands. I so miss CBGB's...

Every time I walk past what used to be CBGB's, I feel a little nauseous. A small part of me died when they closed. I hope it burns to ground also. At least it'll die with dignity. I wrote a small story and posted some pics on the AWB website a while back If you'd like to check it out, it's on the last page of the "NEWS". www.AngryWhiteBoyInc.comThanks.

Ive seen 2 shows there. One with a very poor turnout. It was Citizen Patrol, Lifetrap and Disnihil. The other was Ceremony with Poverty Bay Saints and Spanish Bombs. Pretty packed but it was one of the better, non-sloppy Ceremony performances ive seen.

^That Ceremony/PBV/Spanish Bombs show was one of the best shows I've ever seen there.
I like the low stage.

Back to the original topic, Brian, can I tell you how stoked I am that Outbreak and Hour of the Wolf are playing this?!
I'll see you at the Fest the weekend before but will be at this too. HOTW is one of the best live bands I have EVER seen!

Thanks dude. i appreciate the offer but I am a Fest sponsor this year, got my hotel/plane arrangements all set. Still, weekend passes are 60 bucks which is not bad at all.

I've been here a few times and really enjoyed it. I saw the Iron Age/Mind Eraser/Rival Mob show and the Cold World/Mother of Mercy/Bad Seed/Backtrack show. The place is kind of small and really narrow but it's got a cool feel to it.

I love the Cake Shop, andy and his staff have helped out with a place to do shows for the past 2 years or so. Beats North Six basement. Best venue in NYC.
