It's pretty sweet. It is exactly what it says - a coffee/dessert shop that has shows in the basement. They have food and vegan desserts and coffee/tea upstairs, wifi access, couches, books, etc. Then downstairs is a basement with a bar and a small stage.
What show are you going to there? it's one of my favorite small venues in the city.

A venue where they sell tea and fucking cupcakes.... and thank fucking god that they have wifi access, because I might explode if I don't immediately update my status on Facebook to let all of my girly-man friends know that I'm at an emo show at a fuckin' donut shop.
What the fuck has happened to the Big Rotten Apple that NYC was notorious for being!!?? I hope the cake shop burns to the fucking ground!!!

I hope the cake shop burns to the fucking ground!!! pulling up to a venue with tea/coffee, donuts + other snacks and wifi, a lounge area seperated from the show room instead of another legion hall or venue where they are blasting the worst metal known to man kind during load in is probably the most refreshing day a touring band is gonna get on the road. the only thing that would make this even better is if they had a shower room.

At the Bouncing Souls after party at Angels and Kings, they were serving cupcakes
If cupcakes are good enough for the Bouncing Souls, they're good enough for me

KIDS ARE COMFORTABLE AT SHOWS? IN '82 YOU HAD TO WATCH OUT FOR SOMEONES HEROIN NEEDLE. IT'S NOT FUN UNLESS YOU'RE DODGING THE NEEDLE.

Wi Fi access isn't important to me, personally, but for any touring band who carries their laptops around and uses the internet to book/keep updated on shows, that's gotta be a HUGE luxury.
And any venue where I can go to a show, sweat my ass off and destroy my ears in the basement and then come upstairs, get a coffee and a bowl of chili is fine by me.
For brunch today I'm going to eat a delicious bowl of barbed wire doused in lighter fluid.
