My name is R.J. and I run two independent record labels in Brooklyn, NY. Academy Fight Song has an indie rock focus, and Mightier Than Sword focuses on punk/pop-punk/hardcore releases. Both labels release records on all formats.
I am currently looking for an intern to work closely with myself in managing day-to-day and long term projects, for both labels. A large focus of this internship will be placed on social media and expanding our online presence amongst social networking sites (including, but not limited to, MySpace, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Digg). Other responsibilities will include, project coordination, general administrative duties and errands (post office, Fed Ex, UPS, bank, etc.)
Candidates must be available to work 2-3 days a week out of our "office" in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, along with minimal online work from home. We have some very exciting stuff coming up, and desperately need the extra help!
Skills:
-Creative, excited, and forward-thinking
-Hard working and eager to learn
-Very organized and able to multi-task
-Excel, Word proficient
-Illustrator, Photoshop proficient
-Basic knowledge of HTML
-Good attention to detail and artistic
