FEB 26TH & 27TH @
THE GLASS DOOR
98 moore st
brooklyn, NY
Friday:
doors @ 7pm
aka "Indie Esque Day"
w/ Restorations (Philly, ex-Jena Berlin), Exit She Calls, The Marine Electric, The New Dress and two super rad headliners TBA soon (just waiting on confirmations)
Saturday:
doors @ 1pm
NONE MORE BLACK (yes, f'real, check their space), Capital, Incendiary, Hostage Calm, Former Thieves (Iowa, ex-Desperation, sound like Botch meets MLIW), Static Radio NJ, Caleb Lionheart, The Reveling & 2-3 more TBA soon (two are confirmed, just can't announce justtttttttt yet, nobody super huge but stuff you guys might be into)
TICKETS:
There WILL be advance tickets for this. Physical or will call I'm not sure yet. Here is how it's going to work.
Friday alone: $8 (in advance or at the door)
Saturday alone: $12 (probably advance only, likely no or very few at the door tickets, sorry)
Two day pass is $14
Any tickets/spots leftover will be sold at GIR Fest Friday night. I'm going to set up an online pre sale thing and figure some stuff out. I apologize for doing this but it was beyond my expectations to get the big headlining band that I got, it just fell into place, so I am doing the best I can to appropriately accommodate everything. Chances are The Glass Door will be using their "big show" security dude at this to ensure nothing crazy happens, the cops don't come, etc. They have a professional security person they use. We used him for when we did I Am The Avalanche there over the summer and it worked perfectly. The ticket system is in place in the event that this becomes too packed (which it might), and the venue should be respected as they are awesome enough to allow me to hold this.
If anyone has any questions please don't hesitate to ask me. The lineups for both days are full and confirmed. I think 12 dollars is reasonable for a 9-10 band show and to see a band that would likely cost that much by themselves. I am doing this as cheaply and as DIY as possible.
For those of you who've been to Glass Door... yes, the space is tiny, but honestly, the room is bigger than it looks and can hold more than you'd think. James (City Lights) and I did I Am The Avalanche there in the summer and it drew about 166 paid, but if you include the band and guestlist spots, we easily got around 200+ in there and thought it was hot, it was comfortable, there was room to move around.
Yes there is going to be re-entry. Especially if you come for the whole/most of the day.
I think I've gotten most FAQ out of the way right now, but yeah, again, don't hesitate to ask if you have questions.
